What is MCC?
Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) is the EASA / ICAO-required course that bridges single-pilot flying (CPL/ATPL training) and multi-crew jet operations. It's typically 25 hours of FFS time + 25 hours of theory, focused on:
- Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat & Error Management (TEM)
- Standard callouts, pilot flying / pilot monitoring division
- Abnormal and emergency procedures with two-pilot coordination
- Communication, briefings, and authority gradient management
What is JOC?
Jet Orientation Course (JOC) is the additional simulator-based bridge for pilots whose previous experience is on piston or turboprop aircraft. It introduces:
- High-altitude jet performance and energy management
- Swept-wing handling, Mach effects, mach buffet
- FMS / autopilot / autothrottle integration
- Jet-specific emergency drills (rapid decompression, engine out at altitude)
MCC + JOC combined packages
Most operators today require MCC + JOC combined, typically a 7–10 day program with 40+ hours of FFS time on a generic A320 / B737 simulator. PilotsGate matches you to authority-approved ATOs:
- EASA-licensed ATOs in EU, Greece, Spain, Czechia and Türkiye (SHGM-147)
- FAA Part 142 training centers for US-licensed candidates
- UK Part 147 ATOs for UK CAA holders
Why escrow matters even for MCC
MCC + JOC is cheaper than a type rating ($5K – $9K typical) but the same fraud risk applies, operators can take your money and fail to deliver the simulator hours. The PilotsGate / Sky Aviation Group escrow model holds your fee until the ATO confirms slot allocation and ground school start.
For under-$2K legs we accept card via Paddle. For larger packages (combined MCC+JOC+TR) you can request EFT/SWIFT bank transfer to our Vakıfbank escrow account, admin and finance approval required.
Indicative pricing
- MCC standalone: $2,500 – $4,000 (operator-dependent)
- JOC standalone: $2,500 – $4,000
- MCC + JOC combined: $5,000 – $9,000
Indicative. Sim type, location and slot timing affect total. We quote the final price at provider matching.
Prerequisites
- Frozen ATPL or CPL/IR with valid class 1 medical
