What's included in an A320 program?
A complete A320 program through PilotsGate has two phases delivered by separate (but coordinated) providers:
- Type Rating (TR), typically 4–8 weeks at an EASA Part-147 / SHGM-147 ATO. Includes ground school, fixed-base trainer (FBT), full-flight simulator (FFS) sessions (≈ 36 hours), Type Rating Skill Test (TRST), and base training (or zero-flight-time equivalent at airlines that allow it).
- Line Training (LT), 200–500 sectors flown as a First Officer with a Line Training Captain (LTC) on the actual operator's network. Concludes with a final line check sign-off, after which you're cleared for unsupervised line operations.
Who delivers it?
PilotsGate matches you to the right operator based on your license authority:
- EASA license holders, Pegasus, SunExpress, Wizz Air training partners and EU low-cost A320 operators
- SHGM license holders, THY teknik, Pegasus, AnadoluJet partner ATOs (Türkiye)
- FAA license holders, A320 operators in the US that accept FAA-licensed P2F candidates (limited)
- UK CAA license holders, UK Part 21 operators with A320 fleets
Indicative pricing
A complete A320 type rating + line training package usually falls in the $35,000 – $50,000 USD range depending on operator country, sector count, and whether base training is required. PilotsGate breaks this into:
- Application Fee: $499 (refundable, credited toward Stage 1 on progression)
- Stage 1, Booking: $5,000 (KYC + match)
- Stage 2, Pre-contract: $25,000 (TR ground school + sim sessions begin)
- Stage 3, Training: $10,000 (released milestone-by-milestone during line flying)
Indicative figures. Actual price depends on selected operator, fleet variant (A319 / A320 / A321 / neo) and sector count. Total quoted at provider matching.
How escrow protects you
Sky Aviation Group's Vakıfbank escrow account holds your funds. Each stage is released only after the corresponding milestone is verified, not before. If the operator goes bankrupt mid-training, the unreleased funds stay in escrow and are recoverable. See our refund policy for the full matrix.
